LANIER COUNTY, GA (WALB) –A Moody airman was killed in a car crash.

Staff Sergeant Katherine L. Fisher was assigned to the 23rd Maintenance Operations squadron as an aircraft scheduler. She lost control of her car and slammed into a tree on Highway 122 in Lakeland early Monday.

She was 29 years old, joined the Air Force in 2000, and arrived at Moody Air Force Base July 2004.
