VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –An elderly Valdosta woman was killed in a crash when a teenager ran a red light.

88-year old Marjorie Crawford was headed north on Bemiss Road around 9:30 Sunday morning.

Police say a Ford Ranger driven by 17-year old Daniel Coulstring ran the red light going west on Inner Perimeter Road.

He slammed into Crawford's Chrysler Seabring.

Crawford was taken to a hospital where she died. Coulstring was treated and released.

He's charged with with disregarding a traffic control device.

Police are still investigating and more charges could be filed.
