ALBANY,  GA (WALB) –  A Meigs woman who ran out of gas was struck by a car and killed Monday night.

Troopers say 43-year-old Katherine White pulled partly off Highway 200 in Baker County just before 11:00. Family members took her a can of gas, but as she was pouring it into her tank, she was hit by a passing car and killed.

Troopers say the driver, 29-year-old Corey Stubbs, didn't see her. He's not been charged.
