In high school football, Mitchell County wide out Justin Scott has turned heads not only with his play but also as a student with strong character. Scott is a member of the WALB top ten and has committed to play football next year in Athens for the Bulldogs.
The senior is also a threat on the track and clocked the fastest time in the state last year in the 100 meter dash. Justin urged that his family is at the top of his priority list and he tries to be an example for his 5 younger sisters and cousins. He says he knew he could make it big after his freshman year.
Justin said "I kinda started seeing some success after I started hitting the weight room and you know I ran track and that gave me some exposure and just showed all my speed. As far as on the football field, I just came out and worked hard every day just to be the best receiver or the best player I can be and it just paid off"
Mitchell County is 2-0 and play Thomasville on Friday
