ALBANY, GA (WALB) - South Georgia's Drag racing strip is calling for top racers for Monday's  Labor Day Bash

Residents from all over south Georgia are encouraged to bring their kids to the first annual Labor Day Bash at the Highway 19 Drag strip on Williamsburg road in Dougherty County.

Local rap group Field Mob and other artists will perform at the event.

Doors open at 1:00 p.m. and drag racing starts at 2:00. Event organizers say this is a family event geared towards stopping the violence in local communities.

Tickets are $20 at the gate. They're $10 dollars 3:00 p.m. for anyone who mentions they saw the story right here on WALB.
