EARLY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Early County Sheriff's Deputies made a drug bust this week while conducting road checks near the Alabama Georgia Border.

After conducting a road check on highway 84 near the state line, deputies found more than two pounds of marijuana, and over $1,100 in suspected drug money

24-year-olds Brandon McKinney and Clifton Dyer were charged with possession with intent to distribute Marijuana. Dyer was also charged with D.U.I.

This was part of the Southwest Traffic Enforcement Network's effort to cut down on drunk driving and criminal activity on south Georgia roads.
