ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Monroe Tornadoes scored three touchdowns in a span of six minutes in the third quarter to beat Northeast Macon 32-6.
Monroe freshman quarterback Charlie Strafford threw a 94 touchdown pass to Johntavious Strum in the middle of the third quarter to up the Tornado lead to 19-0.
Strum then recovered a Northeast Macon fumble and returned it to the Raider 8 yard line.
On 4th and goal, Strafford threw a ten yard bullet to Dominique Reid for the score.
Strafford then threw another touchdown pass to Strum just before the end of the third quarter.
Monroe is now 2-0.
Down in Camilla, Westwood rallies from a 10-0 deficit to beat Tiftarea 20-17 Thursday.
The Wildcats are 2-0 and the Panthers fall to 0-2.
