ATHENS, GA (WALB) - There were several battles for starting positions in the Georgia secondary during fall camp.

Baccari Rambo said. "It has been a while since I have been on the field. I want to show everybody I have recovered from injury against Auburn. I got tired of hitting my teammates in practice and I am ready to show everybody that the Georgia Bulldogs are back."

Georgia and Louisiana-Lafayette kick off at 12:20 p.m. Saturday and the SEC Network broadcast begins at 12:00 p.m. on WALB.

One defensive back players agreed was going to be a starter when camp began was Donalsonville's Baccari Rambo.

The former Seminole County star will be Georgia's starting free safety for the Bulldogs season opener Saturday against Louisiana-Lafayette.

It is Rambo's first career start at Georgia but he saw plenty of action off the bench last year when he had 25 tackles and intercepted two passes.

Rambo also made one of the biggest plays in the season when he broke up a potential game winning touchdown pass against Auburn.

Rambo suffered a concussion with his big hit and missed the final two regular season games.
