Albany - The city attorney is up for a job in Florida. Al Grieshaber is one of 7 finalists for a city manager's position of Sanford, Florida. Sanford is about 20 miles north of Orlando and has about 40,000 residents.

Grieshaber, who's been city attorney since 1992, says he's happy in Albany but wants to explore this administrative position. "I saw the job opening in the Nation's weekly cities magazine. It caught my eye because I've been to Sanford, Florida and loved it. I mentioned the job opening to my wife, and she reminded me that we have family in that area. I knew then I had to take a shot at it," said Grieshaber.

The Sanford city manager position comes with a $100,000 to $120,000 salary. Grieshaber says he should know by the end of the month if he got the job.
