    A Dougherty County rape crisis center hopes to raise $15,000 at a tasty event Thursday night at the Merry Acres Event Center. The Lily Pad Center provides support services to more than 300 child victims
     The Lily Pad Center provides support services to more than 300 child victims and roughly 150 adults every year. About two hundred people are expected to show up for the fourth annual 'Farm to Fork' Fundraiser.

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  A Moultrie man is in critical condition at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville after being shot twice in the head.

Moultrie Police say 37-year old Johnny Chester was visiting his wife at Forest Creek Apartments on Martin Luther King Drive around 11:00 PM Monday night when he was approached by some unidentified men.

Someone started shooting and Chester was struck in the head. Moultrie Police don't know what led to the shooting.
