TIFTON, GA (WALB) – An Ashburn caretaker is in jail accused of stealing checks from an elderly patient and cashing them.

31-year-old Andrea Morrow is charged with five felony counts of first degree forgery.

Tifton Police say she stole the checks from the home a 92-year-old Turner County woman while working with ResCare home health.

They say she then cashed the checks for more than $1500.00 at several Tifton stores.

Investigators are looking into the whether there could be more victims.

Morrow is being held in the Tift County Jail.
