ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A murder investigation is underway in South Albany where a 19-year-old was shot to death Monday night at Oak Grove Estates.

Police say around 9 o'clock someone drove up to a mobile home at 86 Dobbs Drive - blew the horn -  then fired a shot as two men walked to the door.

Malcolm Todd was hit once in the chest. He was rushed to Phoebe Putney Hospital where officials say he was dead on arrival.

Officers say 19-year-old Joe Robertson, who was with Todd in the home, wasn't hurt.

Crime scene investigators collected evidence from the scene and questioned neighbors but no one was taken into custody.

Police haven't released information on suspects or a possible motive. Witnesses told officers that a small car was seen driving away at the time of the shooting.

This is the sixth homicide in the city of Albany this year.
