BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) –Two crooks broke into a Bainbridge home Monday morning and tied up a 64-year old woman.

Gussie Mae Davis heard a noise in her Holly Street home around 1 AM and went to check on it.

She found two burglars dressed in black with masks in her hallway.

She says she hit one of the men with her cane before they overpowered her, tied her up, and pointed a gun in her face.

"One of them said shoot her!" Davis recalls. "Shoot her!"

When asked what was going through her head, she replied, "They're going to kill me."

Davis says the two men ransacked her grandson's room after they tied her up but nothing is reported as being stolen.

She believes they were looking for cash and took off when they couldn't find any.

Davis was able to free herself just enough to call 9-1-1 when the burglars left.

If you have information about this home invasion, call Bainbridge Public Safety at (229) 248-2043.
