ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Some people in Acree want a traffic light installed at a dangerous intersection to cut down on wrecks.     They brought their concerns to Dougherty County commissioners Monday.

There have been two motorcycle crashes this summer at County Line road and Highway 82.     One motorcyclist died.   The other was seriously injured.   Some people who live in the area say bad wrecks are common there.

They'd like to see at least a caution light installed.  Commissioner Jack Stone said, "All you can do is just try to help every way you possible can and hope for the best, so maybe we'll get a blinker light down there."

County leaders say they'll discuss the matter with the department of transportation which must approve any change since Highway 82 is a state route.
