ALBANY, GA (WALB) - More than a month after a Bainbridge High School graduate died in a car accident, family and friends of Dylan Faircloth have come together to create scholarships in his name.

The 18-year-old had attended Duke University's Talent Identification Program. His roommate in the course helped raise $3,500 in scholarship money to send a student to the intense learning courses.

The cross country team also raised around $1,300 in Faircloth's memory. Dairy Queen dedicated a scholarship worth more than $1,000, which will be awarded annually to one senior runner. The cross county team will also host a 5K run and fundraiser in October.
