ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany Police arrested a man after witnesses say he threatened a woman with a stolen gun during a fight.

65-year-old Jimmy Wooten was arrested Saturday after an argument with 47-year-old Linda Mansfield.

According to the report Wooten fired several shots in the air to scare the victim at a home in the 800-block of Moultrie road.

Police arrived and found a .22-caliber hand gun stolen from Worth County hidden in the house.

Wooten was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct and theft by receiving stolen property.

He's being held in the Dougherty County Jail.
