Albany - After many complaints from skate boarders and cyclists, Albany OK's a design for a new skate park. Tuesday, city commissioners tentatively approved the design of a 15,000 square foot skate park to be built on College Drive - east of the Flint River.

The park would cost about $400,000. "We're going to have wedges, pyramids, and pipes. The skatepark will be for beginners to immediate boarders, bladers, and bikers," Carlton Burr with Southern Playgrounds.

Even though they gave the go ahead for the design, Commissioners have not promised to pay for the construction of the skate park.
