CORDELE, GA (WALB) - The Crisp County Cougars are expected to air the football out under new head coach Sean Pender.

Head coach Sean Pender bringing the Hal Mumme spread offense he learned at Valdosta State and ran at Brantley County.

Over on defense, linebacker Dontavius Cotton will lead the way. While on the offense line converted tackle Perry Faulk will lead the Cougars come Friday night along with Van Williams in the backfield.

Coach Pender says he'd like to improve on the mistakes his team made during their scrimmage last week and also says while his team has plenty of new faces, they will be balanced.

Sean Pender said. "Just playing together as a team, every phase of the game in my opinion is very important. I'm not going to tell us that we're a defensive team, special teams or offensive team we're Cougars. We're going to play together, that's our M.O this year, is playing together."

Crisp County opens the season at home Friday against Turner County.
