Moultrie-- Sixty-five-year-old J. C. Harris was found late Saturday night walking in a neighborhood a block away from the murder scene.

Harris is accused of shooting and killing his wife, 35-year-old Rachelle Harris and her friend, 31-year-old Howard Hunter. They were shot at Harris' home on 5th Street, Northwest in Moultrie around four Saturday morning.

The married couple was arrested two weeks ago for disorderly conduct, and police say they were in the process of divorce.

Hunter was arrested in 2001 on robbery, kidnapping and drug charges.

Mr. Harris is charged with two counts of murder and is in the Colquitt County Jail.
