ALBANY, GA (WALB) – In this tough economy, finding work can be hard.

That's why Albany Tech is trying to encourage more people pursue higher education

Saturday the college held their Community Family and Friends Day to give back and show off all the possible career choices to potential students.

This is the first year for the college's health information technology program.

"2014-2016 we're looking to have the whole United States turn over and use health records so this program is designed to transition paper records into electronic health records," said Victoria Mills, Health Information Program Instructor.

This is the 5th year the college hosted the event.
