VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The honors continue to roll in for the Valdosta State Lady Blazers softball team.

Alyssa Shirey has been named the catcher of the year in division two by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Shirey led the Lady Blazers in homeruns and RBIs and led VSU to a national runner-up finish.
