THOMAS COUNTY, GA (WALB) –Authorities in Thomas County responding to a burglary last night just barely missed capturing the suspect.
They say the man got into the 84 Express Mart on Highway 84 East by knocking a hole into the back of the building.
A deputy arrived while the suspect was still inside the store and tried to contain the him until another officer could arrive. But the man busted out the front door and got away.
Investigators say they have a possible suspect and are reviewing surveillance video to identify him.
