Thief grabs beer and cigarettes from convenience store

By LeiLani Golden - bio | email

BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) –A thief broke into the Bearcats Express convenience store in Bainbridge around 2:30 Wednesday morning, but only got away with a small haul.

An observant patrol officer passing by the store at the intersection of Calhoun and Albany Road noticed something odd about the front door.

The plexi-glass had been broken so someone could get in. But the burglar only took off with a few cartons of cigarettes and some beer.

Police are reviewing the store's surveillance video to try and identity a suspect.
