ALBANY, GA (WALB) – If Dougherty County Economic Development employees do their job well and grow the business community, they'll also grow their paychecks.
The board of directors will set goals for job creation, retention, and prospect development then grade the entire EDC team at the end of the year.
Ted Clem, President, Economic Development Commission says if they successfully meet the goals, the workers will get bonuses.
Almost $13,000 has been set aside for the incentive program. There are five EDC employees. If the team reaches the benchmarks, the money will be split among the entire team. If they don't reach them, no one gets the extra pay.
