Chris Payne, who started camp at quarterback, is now seeing time at wide receiver. Coach Smith says he has no problem playing both quarterbacks at the start of the season if that is what it takes to win games.
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - With the season opener ten days away, the battle for the starting quarterback job at Albany State continues.The battle for the starting job is now down to two players.
Offensive coordinator Steve Smith says the job may not be decided before the first game at Kentucky State.
Steve Smith said. "Stanley is a dual threat. He gives you the run game and passing situations. Wayne is becoming dual threat. He is giving you running and passing. So, both guys are running the offense. Both guys are doing a magnificent job right now. They are both pushing it."
Albany State plays at Kentucky State on August 28th.
