SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Nathan Deal and Roy Barnes will face off in Savannah, their first appearance together as their respective parties' nominees for governor.

The forum on Wednesday will focus on tourism. It's sponsored by the Savannah Area Tourism Leadership Council.

Deal won the Republican nomination for governor in an Aug. 10 runoff.

Barnes locked up the Democratic nod in the state's July 20 primary.

The two veteran politicians served together in the state Senate for a decade in the 1980s.
