(Athens-AP) -- When Playboy magazine unveils its All-America football team in its August edition, Georgia's star defensive end David Pollack will be missing from the photograph.
Pollack, the 2002 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, was one of 22 college football players honored by Playboy. But he declined the invitation, saying the magazine's contents conflicted with his religious beliefs.
Pollack said, "When you talk to somebody about living their lives the right way and abstaining from sex until marriage, posing in Playboy would send the wrong message."
Pollack is a junior from Snellville. Alabama offensive tackle Wesley Britt also declined to pose in this year's spread. Coach Mark Richt said, "I respect David's right to choose whether or not to go. He's his own man."
