ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  It appears a Victorian House in downtown Albany will be demolished after all.  The home at 606 North Jackson Street was built in 1888.  It's deteriorated and needs hundreds of thousands of dollars for renovations.

The Delta Eta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha owns the house and planned to tear it down and build a new headquarters.  In July, Preservationists asked the sorority to wait a month before proceeding to see if they could generate any interest in buying the house or moving it to another location.

Unfortunately, that hasn't happened.  Now, it looks like demolition will proceed.
