NASHVILLE, GA (WALB) –The Berrien County Chamber of Commerce has launched a new business improvement grant.

Businesses in Berrien that are chamber members can get a $500 grant for interior and exterior improvements like painting landscaping, signs, and lighting.

The funding came from a professional rodeo the chamber co-hosted in March. A hundred percent of the proceeds from the rodeo stay in Berrien County.

"The money we raised from the rodeo is the money we're giving away," said Crissy Staley, the executive director of the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce. "We split the proceeds from the rodeo with the boys and girls club in Berrien County, and this is how we're choosing to use our portion."

For more information on the business improvement grant program, call the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce at  (229) 686-5123.
