DECATUR COUNTY, GA (WALB) –Decatur County taxpayers want some answers after the county performed road work on private property.

The work included laying gravel at the Swanwall Baptist Church off Swanwall Road.

After the county attorney confirmed that the property was privately owned, county treasurer Claude Shirley sent a letter to the Decatur County Board of Commission requesting action against those involved.

Commission Chairman Earl Perry declined to comment, saying he wants more information before addressing the matter.
