ALBANY, GA (WALB) –A South Albany man injured himself while fighting a kitchen fire Monday afternoon.
50 year old Bobby Jackson cut his hand while breaking a back window of his house.
Firefighters say Jackson left food cooking on his stove when he went for a ride with his son in his new car, and when he got back just before 1:30, his kitchen was on fire.
Jackson's injury was not serious, he was treated by EMS. The fire did about $3000 in damage to the kitchen.
