After a rough and tough one win season a year ago the Turner County Rebels are hoping turn things around. The team is loaded with a slew of freshman and sophomores. The bright spot for the Rebels may be at DB with the return of Dylan Ray.
Last season was a learning process for the young bunch and with a region that includes Wilcox, Charlton and Clinch, things won't be any easier. Head coach Erik Soliday says his crew is still a few years away but they do show a lot of drive to get better.
Coach Soliday said, ""that's our goal just to get better everyday because we know where we are starting from and when you have as many young kids as we do, we're starting from the bottom and you just hope everyday you get a little better in some areas and by the end of the year hopefully everything comes together. They learn what they are supposed to and how they are supposed to do it, and play decent football"
The first test for the Rebels will be on 27th at Crisp.
