ALBANY, GA WALB - Between ASU and Darton, thousands of college students are  getting ready for their first day of class next week.

More than 200 students are moving into Darton's residence hall. The housing director says the university needs more rooms.

More students also means more impact on Albany's economy.  We caught up with a couple of athletes on the swim team who are getting settled before classes begin Wednesday.

"It will be great to have a routine again and classes you know how we all feel about that," said Ari Leblond.

The housing director says another residence hall will go under construction soon. It's expected to open in 2011
