ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two teens and an adult carjacked a woman at the Albany Mall Friday afternoon.

Police think the carjackers targeted her because she was alone and appeared to be an easy target.

Police say a little after 2:00 p.m. two juveniles and a man approached Pamela Sharp while she was in a white Chevrolet Tahoe in the Dillards parking lot.

Police charged Drequan Walker, 16 with armed robbery, car jacking and a weapons violation, and Laquinton Wilson, 15 with armed robbery and car jacking. They charged Archtravis Leverett, 21 with armed robbery and car jacking.

One of the carjackers had a gun. Two of them took off in the Tahoe with the woman's purse.

Police tracked down the Tahoe 20 minutes later at Olgethorpe Boulevard and Front street near the Hilton Garden Inn and took one adult and one juvenile into custody.

Two Albany Police cars collided while responding to the carjacking. Officer Jermaine Lewis rear-ended Officer Warren Ewing's car on Dawson Road.
