ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards said at a news conference that no charges will be brought against two officers involved in the shooting of a suspect in the Family Dollar store robbery in July.

Christopher Raines was shot by APD trainee Christopher Hutcherson on July 12.

Hutcherson's training officer is McKinley Windom.

Edwards recommended that Hutcherson and Windom return to normal duty. They have been on administrative duty since the incident.

The clerk who was 'held hostage' is charged with armed robbery.   Police say Jamaica Harris Jones conspired with the two gunmen to rob the store.

Jones charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery.

Hutcherson  and Windom were in the parking lot working a car accident when they were tipped about the robbery inside the Family Dollar store on West Gordon Avenue.

20-year-old Randell Harris and Raines were caught by police after a short chase.

Raines was armed with a sawed off shotgun. Harris had a plastic toy pistol.
