Former Lady Blue Devil signs to play basketball - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Former Tift County standout Jessi Byrnes has signed a letter of intent to attend Atlanta Christian College.

Byrnes decided she wanted to play college basketball after playing for Athletes in Action this past summer.

The 2009 Blue Devil graduate has spent time since graduation as an assistant coach at 8th Street Middle School in Tifton.

She holds the Lady Blue Devil record for most blocked shots in a game.

Byrnes will also play volleyball at Atlanta Christian.
