LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - A car accident claims three lives 9:30 Sunday night on U.S. 19 in Lee County.  Troopers say it's possible the driver of the red Kia Sephia ran a stop sign as he was turning onto U.S. 19 near the Fairfax Motel in Leesburg.

A GSP trooper confirmed the driver of the Kia, 18-year old Mead Cothren and the passenger, 17-year old Matthew Weeks died after they were transported to the hospital.  The driver of the truck, 32-year old Richard Thomas Bailey died on the scene.

All three men were from Lee County. Count on more live, local, late breaking coverage as this investigation continues.
