ATLANTA, GA (WALB) -  Atlanta Braves catcher David Ross found out early just how talented and dedicated San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey is to the game of baseball.

Ross and Posey have worked out together during the offseason the last two years in Tallahassee.

During those workouts, the two would talk baseball and what life is like in the majors.

Ross remembers offering some advice to Buster Posey advice when the Giants unexpectedly re-signed catcher Benjie Molina for this season.

Molina of course was recently traded by the Giants and paved the way for Posey to take over behind the plate.

Buster Posey said. "It was good to work out with him and just kind of pick his brain a little bit. David is such a good guy. Any question that I had. It wasn't a whole lot of questions. Trying to figure stuff out but if I needed it he was definitely there."

David Ross said. "I am not surprised at the success that he has had at the level already because he asks the right questions. He has got a good head on his shoulders and like everybody knows he is really talented."

Buster Posey has won the online fan voting for MLB's Clutch Performer for the month of July.
