Tifton, GA (WALB) –  We now know the identity of the man who was shot to death in a motel parking lot in Tifton.

29-year-old Berry Joe Sylhomme, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, was shot Thursday in the parking lot of the Ramada Limited on U.S. 82 near I-75.

He stumbled across a parking lot to the Waffle House next door where he collapsed and died.

His body was taken to the crime lab in Macon Friday morning for an autopsy.

Investigators are still looking for the shooter.
