ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Get out a pen and some paper. The watering restrictions have changed again, and you may need to write them down to remember.
Georgia is now operating under the Georgia Water Stewardship Act. As far as pressure washing your house or washing your car, that's only allowed on the odd/even system that's been in place for the past few years.
But outdoor watering is now allowed for any living plants. Lorie Farkas with WG&L said, "There are no days. You can water any day you choose. There's no even/odd system, but you can only water between 4 PM and 10 AM. So you can water any day of the week outside green things like flowers, plants, sod, grass, but it must be between 4 PM and 10 AM the next morning."
Outdoor water use for any purpose other than watering of plants is still restricted to the odd/even watering schedule. Here it is again:
Odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Even-numbered and unnumbered addresses are allowed to water on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
