ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Friday wrapped up early voting for the July primary runoffs. More than 400 people voted early in Dougherty County for the elections.  About 100 of them voted Friday.

That's down sharply from the more than 1500 that voted before the primary, although there was a much shorter time period for early voting for the runoff.

Nelson Johnson showed up to vote Friday morning. He says he hopes all registered voters in Dougherty County will do their part.

He said, "To make sure I get the right candidate of my choice." And why would you encourage other people to make sure they vote? "If you're going to complain about something and don't vote, then you don't have the right to complain."

You can vote in the runoff even if you didn't vote in the July primary and you can vote in either party's runoff. But if you did vote in the primary, you have to stick to the same party when you vote in the runoff.

If you missed early voting, Tuesday is election day, and all precincts will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.
