THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) –The Thomasville Republican Headquarters held its grand opening Thursday morning.

The building is located on Smith Street across from Harvey's. Organizers say many people donated decorations for the grand opening.

One of those organizers, Lillian Petrie, says she's helped open the headquarters for the past four elections.

"It is my pleasure and it's a lot of fun," she says. "And we had good teamwork. Everybody is real excited about this election."

Republican gubernatorial candidate Nathan Deal and Georgia House of Representatives District 173 candidate Darlene Taylor cut the ribbon to officially open the headquarters.
