VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) – Lowndes County elementary students will start their year in a brand new school.
With a ribbon cutting this afternoon, the new Pine grove elementary School was dedicated. Hundreds of parents, teachers, and kids gathered for the event and tour of the school.
It has the latest technology and is bigger and better than the old Pine Grove school on Cat Creek Road. The principal of the school is excited about the transition.
"We actually are very humbled that we were selected to be apart of this experience and we're very appreciative of that."
THe school is pre k- fifth grade and Pine Grove Middle School that's on the same campus just opened last year. School starts tomorrow for Lowndes County Schools.
