Lee County looking to take next step

LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Lee County head coach Dean Fabrizio knows building the Trojan program is going to take many steps.

The Trojans won just two games in his first season but that first win broke a 15 game losing streak.

Coach Fabrizio is excited about the future of the program.

This year, Lee County returns six starters on both sides of the ball.

The offense will be lead by quarterback Justin Walker, running back Denzel Eccles and receiver James Terrell.

While Calvin Johnson and Thomas Wright will lead a very solid defense.

Another number that bodes well for Lee County is the players who are dressing out for football.

Dean Fabrizio said. "We feel a lot better from our experience standpoint without a doubt. Our numbers are way up. We have got close to 160 kids out here in full pads 9-12. So, we are excited about that. We have just got to keep working and getting better."

Lee County will open the season at home against Baconton Charter.
