Summer heat creates a pesky problem

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  We're not alone in looking for cooler air and fluid indoors.  Insects and rodents are seeking that same relief.

A new study lists Georgia as the 5th worst state for bug infestations. Adams Exterminators has seen a huge increase in calls because of roaches, ants, and other insects finding their way indoors.

"The last seven or eight weeks, I think, bugs have been almost at a crisis level. The heat and intensity of the heat and the lack of water, the lack of water and moisture, are really driving insects inside the homes."

Jeff Sinyard says another pesky problem that's normally not so severe in the summer is an increase in mice in homes.
