ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Local Programming from DIRECTV is now Available in 160 U. S. Cities. DIRECTV is offering local HD programming to customers in the Albany, Ga., designated-market area.
The following broadcast networks will be available in HD:
DIRECTV now offers local broadcast channels in 160 markets, representing more than 95 percent of U.S. TV households, with 143 markets in HD.
To receive DIRECTV's HD local programming, customers must have an H20 or HR20 DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver or above, and a Ka/Ku band dish.

Eligibility for local channels is based on service address within certain designated-market areas as defined by Nielsen Media Research, Inc.
