DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA (WALB) –  A man shot and killed himself Tuesday night outside a Dougherty County restaurant. Police and paramedics rushed to Bayou's on Philema Road a little before seven o'clock.

They found 48-year-old Jimmy McCorkle dead inside his truck. A Dougherty county police report says Kevin Pelzeo was trying to drive McCorkle from Bayou's when McCorkle pulled a handgun from the glove box and shot himself in the head.

We're told he had been inside the restaurant before he took his own life.
