Crisp County, GA (WALB) – A thirteen year old Crisp County girl was killed and her 12-year-old passenger was critically injured when she drove her friends mom's car into a tree.
It happened around five Monday on Listonia Road in Crisp County.
Troopers says 13-year-old Breanna Peacock was driving and 12-year-old Aliyah Stokes was in the passenger's seat when they lost control, and hit a tree head on.
Peacock was killed, and Stokes was air lifted to a Macon hospital, where she is currently in critical condition.
Troopers say the girls were not wearing their seat belts and they believe speed is a factor because the girls traveled 167 feet off the dirt road before hitting the tree.
The car belonged to Stokes' mom, Nicole Embry.
