ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  The owner of Albany's State Theatre says his business is safe, and he doesn't want a weekend shooting behind his concert venue to ruin his reputation.

Lane Rosen opened the downtown theater six years ago. Saturday night, a fight broke out during a back to school bash, and security kicked out the people involved.

Later, police say 19-year-old Nicholas Johnson fired shots in the parking lot. No was hurt.

Rosen says nine off-duty law enforcement officers searched teens for weapons and monitored the party. He says one teen's actions should not reflect on the other 500 at the concert.

"The police did a wonderful job. The police that we have here in association with the gang task force who ride by regularly, to keep that element away from here. They caught the guy right away. Nobody was hurt," Rosen said.

Rosen said he does everything possible to make sure teens are safe at the State Theatre and sends them home before curfew.

The State will host another event for teens this Friday night...
