ALBANY, GA (WALB) - We start our annual high school previews this football season with a look at the Monroe Tornadoes.

Coach Charles Truitt lost 19 seniors who won a school record 29 games in their four year career.

Monroe believes they have the replacements ready to step up.

Devine Noel is now the full time starting quarterback.

Running back Dominique Lumpkin will be joined by newcomer Brandon Gordon to give Monroe a ground game to balance their passing attack that has talented receivers in Jawaski Randle and Tray Lane.

Georgia Tech commitment Brian Chamberlain anchors an experienced offensive line while on defense the only worry is shoring up the linebackers position.

Charles Truitt said. "We have got a good running game and we have got some good skilled people. We just have got to develop some depth behind those guys to be able to get better each and every week. We like our chances. We just have got to stay healthy and continue to get better each week."

Monroe opens their season

August 27th at Terrell County.

On Monday we will  preview Dougherty High.
